A welcome sign on any trip. (Strangely, for once, no one needed to "rest" and we were able to forgo a pit stop.) Taken November 2009, on Interstate 26 near Asheville, NC.

Taken at precisely the wrong moment. Our intention was to travel to Asheville, NC to take some pictures of the changing foliage. Even before we reached Asheville or the Blue Ridge Parkway, the leaves were beautiful in color along Interstate 26, so we decided to take a couple of quick shots as we were driving up in the car. Alas, it was not meant to be! The truck and cars appeared just as the picture snapped, and the beautiful shot was lost. To make things worse, it started to rain as we got near the Parkway and Asheville, so we decided to turn the day into a Saturday of shopping.
